|
Master (Khwaja) of Masters
(Khwajgan) Moinuddin (is); Noblest (ashraf) of all saints (auliya) of the world,. Sun of sphere that Lords the Universe (kon-o makan). Emperor who graces the throne of the dominion of faith and certitude (yaqin), What can be uttered about your beauty (jamal) and perfection (kamal); For, it is evident from the impregnable(Spiritual) fortification (hasn-o-hasin). An opening verse (matla) in praise of your attributes I offer; which in purity is like a precious pearl (durr-i samin). Oh ye, whose threshold is an altar (qiblah) for the faithful; (ahl-i-yaqin). Where the sun and the moon rub their forehead. It is thy royal threshold that faces are in reverence rubbed; By hundreds of Kings (maliks) of the stature of the Emperors (khusro) of China. The attendants (Khadiman) at thy shrine are all like the keeper of Paradise (Ridwan); As is your mausoleum (roza) in sanctity certainly a sublime Paradise. (where) A particle of dust is ambergies (abir) in nature; And a drop of water transparent and pure (maen) Oh, Almighty as the Sun and the Moon endure; May the Chishti lamp resplendently sparkle. |

With the end of these verses people disperse and the lamps are placed in 4 corners of the Holy Tomb. |

|
Oh ye Moinuddin, truly Lord Protector
who graces fortunes. |
|
| As soon as the last verse of the Kadka is recited, the main entrance of the tomb is closed
and locked. The Khadim on duty keeps the key with him and also keeps a watch
round the tomb throughout the night. |

| On every Thursday after Isha prayer Mehfil-e-Jumerat is organized inside Ahata-e-Noor opposite Begami Dalan. This program starts with 'Zikr' proceeded with Qawali and ends with Fateha. People in large number attend this programme. This programme continues till the main entrance of the tomb is closed. |

14th - Annual Urs of Hazrat Khwaja Qutbuddin Bakhtiar Kaki, first spiritual successor of Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz is celebrated at his Chilla situated at Daulat Bagh near Ana agar Lake. Fateha is offered in every home of Khadims. The Khadims of Hazrat Khwaja Sahib celebrate this Urs at his tomb at Mehrauli Delhi, all the ceremonies of Urs including 'langar' and ‘Ghilaf’are organised by Anjuman Moinia Fakhria Chistia Khudam Khwaja Sahib Syed Zadgan. |

delivered on his services and sacrifices which he rendered for
making the foundation of Islam more and more strong. |

| RAJAB-UL-MURAJJAB |

1st
to 9th –
Urs - Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A.)’s
Urs is
celebrated every year in the first week of Rajab, on seeing the moon
of Rajab, the seventh month of the Islamic calendar, drums are
beaten to herald the commencement of the annual ceremony. The
permanent Chauki (troupe) of qawwals arrive, and after Maghrib
(sunset prayers) sit infront of the Shrine and sing the following
verses: |

“Bartui
mehfil-shahana-mubarak-bashad |
|
‘Oh Saqi for your bountiful goblet of sacred wine). |
|
“Ilahi ta-abd-astana-i-yar-rahe |
|
|
|
Although Urs
held for the first six days of Rajab. Yet the 6th day is regarded to
be the most special and auspicious. It is called “Chhati Sharif”. It
is celebrated on the 6th Rajab between 10:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M.
Inside the Mazar Sharif Shijra is read by Khadims then Fariyad
(Prayers) start for people present at the Dargah and for the country
and its people for the peace and prosperity and also those who are
not present but have sent Nazar-o-Niyaz to the Khadims to mark their
presence for their welfare and for the promotion of brotherhood
amongst them. Khadims tie small turbans on each others head and
present Nazar (offerings in cash). Just before the Qul (conclusion
of 6th Rajab Chhati Sharif) Bhadawa is sung at the main entrance of
the Shrine by Qwwals which literally means a poem or verses in
praise of Allah, His Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) or famous Sufis (Auliyas).

| 5th to 6th – Grand celebration of Urs Hazrat Khwaja Usman-e-Harwani (Peer-0-Murshid of Huzoor Gharib Nawaz. Jannati Darwaza is also open. People from far and near attend the programmes and obtain those special bounties and blessings of Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz which are bestowed upon devotees during those days. |

Urs of HAZRAT KHWAJA ABU SAEED, son
of Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz is celebrated on 4th day of the month
of Sai Ghat near his tomb in Dargah Sharif. |

18th
- Amirual Momenn Syedna Hazrat Usman
was the third successor of the
Prophet of Islam. 18th Zil Hijja is observed as the da of his
Martyrdom and tributes are paid to him. Lectures are delivered on
his contribution to Islam and Muslims on his spiritual status, on
his life and on the services he rendered. |

28th - This day reminds us of the great services and sacrifices of that soldier of Islam who in history is known as the conqueror of Egypt, Conqueror of Syria, Conqueror of Iran and above all the Conqueror of Jeru-salem (Baitul Muqaddas) and whose name is Ameerul Momeneen Syedna Hazrat Qmar Farook Radhi Alla Anho. He was the 2nd Successor of the Prophet of Islam. He has rendered such invaluable services which have no parallel in Islamic History. |
