Hazrat Sultan ul Hind, Khwaja Garib Nawaz passed away in 627 A.H. Following his demise, his disciples, devotees, and followers took the message of Islam to all corners of the country. HAZRAT KHWAJA
QUTUBUDDIN BAKHTYAR KAAKI R.A. DELHI He
traces his descent from Hazrat Imam Hussain. In the year 586
A.H. he was adorned and honored with the Caliphate at the age
of seventeen. In 587 A.H. , he reached India with Gharib Nawaz.
He was laid to his eternal rest on the 14th of
Rabi-ul-Awwal in the year 633 A.H. in the reign of Sultan
Shamas-ud-Din Iltutmash, five years, eight months and eight days
after the passing away of Gharib Nawaz. His title is Sultan-ut-Tarekeen, whereas his nickname is Abu Mohammad. He is among the descendants of Hazrat Said bin Zaid, a companion of Holy Prophet Mohammad. He was a perfect Dervesh, possessing high spiritual attainment, and a spiritual guide of high rank. He used to live in the village named Sawali (which is now called phagli). He lived up to the age of 104 years and died in the year 672 A.H. and lies buried in Nagore. HAZRAT BIBI
HAFIZA JAMAAL DAUGHTER OF GHARIB NAWAZ They had already been described in the foregoing pages. HAZRAT SHAIKH
ALI SANJARI R.A. He was the scribe of Gharib Nawaz. He used to write the deeds of Caliphate for Gharib Nawaz. He had intense love for Hazrat Qutub-ud-Din Bakhtiar Kaki. He lies buried near the mosque known as Quwwat-ul-Islam in Delhi. HAZRAT KHWAJA
ABDULLAH BAYABAANI R.A. He
used to wear the garb of Yogis and live in jungle. He died in
694 A.H. it is said that he attained immortality through the
blessing, prayers and good wishes of Gharib Nawaz. Spiritually
he points out the way to those waylaid. He attends the tomb of
Khwaja Gharib Nawaz on every Friday night. SHEIKH MUJAD-UD-DIN OF SANJAR He
was always in the company of Gharib Nawaz. He attained his
object through the service of his spiritual guide. In the days
of wandering, he never kept himself aloof from the company and
service of spiritual guide. For this very reason, the arrow of
his nearness reached the mark of his object. HAZRAT
SHEIKH MOIN-UD-DIN He is the same Moin-ud-Din about the author of Sair-ul-Aulia has written: “ Moin-ud-Din has not yet reached Ajmer from Delhi that Hazrat Qutub-ud-Din Bakhtiar Kaki expired in Delhi. He
is a disciple and spiritual successor (Caliph) of Sheikh
Shahab-ud-Din Umar Suharwardy, but Gharib Nawaz also authorized
him. He was born in 463 A.H. He died on the 9th of
Ramzan in the year 643 A.H. at the age of one hundred and eight
years. His wife Bibi Hamira gave birth to seven sons and two
daughters. His literary productions include Tawale-us-Shamas,
Sharah Isma-Husna, Lawane Lawaha, Matale-Sharah, Chehal Hadis. HAZRAT SYED HUSSAIN MESHADI KHING SAWAR He
hails from the Saiyyeds of Meshad. He was well versed in outer
and inner knowledge. Qutub-ud-Din Aibak appointed him the
Darogha of Ajmer. He was on very loving and intimate terms with
Gharib Nawaz. He is the Caliph of Gharib Nawaz. He lies buried
in Ajmer on a hillock. He is now know as ‘Khing Sawar’. His
martydom took place on the 17th of Rajab 610 A.H. His
annual Urs takes place from 16th to 18th
of Rajab at Taragarh. HAZRAT KHWAJA
BURHANUDDIN URF BADR BADR SHARIF He
died on the 14th of Rajab in the year 667 A.H. and
lies buried in Ajmer HAZRAT SHAIKH WAJIHUDDIN R.A. HIRAAT He died on the 9th Jamadi-us-Sani in the year 645 A.H. and lies buried in Heart. HAZRAT SHAIKH
AHMED R.A. AJMER SHARIF He
died on the 13th of Muharram in the year 630 A.H. and
lies buried in Ajmer. SHEIKH NIZAM-UD-DIN OF NAGORE He
always used to live at the Astana of his spiritual teacher. He
would not bear the separation even for a single moment.
Sometimes, his spiritual teacher used to say “Our Fakr
(Poverty) is with Fakhr-ud-Din, and our Nizam (administration)
is with Nizam-ud-Din. HAZRATBAL SHEIKH SHAMAS-UD-DIN FAQARI (KNOWN AS PIR MECCA OF BADAUN) He
is amongst the prominent saints of Badaun. His tomb is situated
in Badaun on the western and southern side of Astana-I-Alia
Qadiria at a little distance from the Astana. PIR KARIM SALONI He was the Caliph of Gharib Nawaz. He was a perfect Dervesh of his time. He had a huge following. The people of his line are known as Karimia. He died in 663 A.H. He spent all his life in the service of his spiritual teacher and guide. He was a trustee of the secrets of both the worlds. He lies buried in Ajmer. During his stay in Delhi, one day Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz was passing by a temple. There were seven persons in the temple engaged in idol-worship. Seeing Khwaja Sahib they were greatly moved by his spiritual powers. They fell down at this feet and accepted Islam at his hands. Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz called the oldest among them by the Islamic name of Hamid-ud-Din. When he thought of naming others too they all submitted thus. “As we have not given up unity in idolatry and Islam, so our submission is that the same unity be maintained in our names also.” Hence
all the seven persons came to be know by one name. They were
